Hi,

I am installing a DC Drive and it is not very clear to me what is the difference between enable and inhibit contacts

Can anyone explain me?

Thanks

ENABLE inputs must be closed to allow motion.
INHIBIT inputs will override ENABLE and prevent motion if open as this is the natural fail-safe condition - broken wire => INHIBIT.

If you're really meaning contacts (OUTPUTS) than they mean exactly what they are labeled as, they simply supply these mode conditions out to other equipment. Usually these are not something supplied as they cost money to include and both the ENABLE and INHIBIT signals come from the 'field' around the drive and so are already available or known outside the drive.

Thanks for the explanation. You are correct. They are INPUTS
