DC voltage calculation

I am doing UPS 24VDC voltage calculation. Current drawn is 10A. I was told by my lead that I should use 20A for the voltage drop calculation when I use 1 way circuit length. This doesn't make sense to me. Because I am new to this Country. I want to make sure I did a right calculation.

What country? And what calculation? Are you saying that you do not want to use double current when calculating voltage drop in a one way circuit. Then don't - just use true current and full length (positive and negative wires' length). It should give the same result - provided that positive and negative wires are both the same length and same gauge.

BTW, my country is Sweden.

don't worry about using voltage drop calcs with AC tables or calculators. The DC voltage drop will be less due to skin effect, so the AC calcs will be in the safe zone.

You may want to consider worst case due to the capability of the source and not preset load.
