Hello all friends here:
I want to ask a question:
"How to deactivate solidworks2008 license in one PC and then transfer to another PC? Are there any instruction I could follow?"
If some friends know how to do this, could you please do me a favor?
Highly appreciate.
Regards.
Henry.

is there any way to do this when you have no access to the computer its installed on?

Because my computer completely crashed and i have no way of getting to it

After loading SW on the new machine, and when trying to activate the licence, you will be given the option to activate via the internet or email. If the internet method doesn't work I believe you will be given a phone number for contacting SW direct, and will be able to explain the situation.

Your VAR can also deactivate the licence locked in the crashed computer.

Are you saying you got a new hard drive. Or was the drive you crashed rebuilt?

BlacklblSociety,

If your hard drive was not corrupted, you should be able to install it in another computer and then run a repair with the Windows install CD. After the repair, you should be able to continue working.
