I am looking for the necessary calculations needed to find the pick-up velocity for a deaerator. Currently orange juice is entering the deaerator with 8ppm of oxygen and I need to verify that the orange juice will leave with 3ppm of oxygen. Any help would great, thanks alot.

I would've thought you'd be better off performing trials using an oxygen meter and ajdusting your parameters accordingly. Oxygen dissolution in orange juice sounds like a specialised application which is unlikely to have applicable formula.

How is your deaerator designed (parameters)?Vacuum stripping ? Steam stripping?
