Dear All,

I am simulating Impact loading on an Aluminium plate. It's a Circular projectile and square Aluminium Plate. I get Contact for at lowe step time but when I increase the step time to get clear curve for displacement, it shows the value of force as zero. What can be the possible reason?

[FEA way]

Most likely what you get after that longer time is rebound - the impactor bounces back and thus the force reduces to zero. But you should see it when viewing subsequent frames or animating the deformed shape of the model.
