Dear all,
Is there a way to create a controlled temperature field ( using analytical field ) in abaqus to specify the temperature and its increments all along the surface (which depends on 2 axis). Please suggest is there any other possible way to do the same. Thanks in advance

Do you want to define temperature distribution for heat transfer analysis or for stress analysis ? In the first case you have to use boundary condition with analytical field while for the latter case predefined field needs to be utilized (and there are more options than analytical fields). As you can see in the "Create Analytical Field" window there are two available types of analytical fields in Abaqus. First one is expression field. It can be used to define spatial variation of some parameter (in this case temperature) by specifying a formula. So it can be used only in simple cases where equation describing spatial variation is available. Second type is mapped field. This one may be used to define temperature at each point from point cloud data (X,Y,Z and temperature at each point) or from .odb file. For heat transfer analysis there's also an option to use DISP subroutine in order to define temperature distribution.
