I am attempting to model a drilled shaft and i need to model a concrete rock bonded interface. I think that the INITAL CONDITIONS, TYPE=CONTACT,DEBOND keyword along with FRACTURE CRITERION will do it. However i can not seem to get the two surfaces to come apart. I am using CAE but had to put a few lines into the code. Here is what i have
*Heading
....
*Initial conditions, type=contact
slave surface, master surface, node set on slave surface
....
Step
...
*Debond, Slave=slave surface, Master=master surface
0, 1.0, 1800, .75, 3600, 0 ((Amplitude curve)(It is a 1 hour step with time in seconds)
*Fracture Criterion, TYPE=Critical stress
normal, shear1, shear2

I must be missing something because my bonded surfaces will not separate no matter how much load i apply. Any help would be great
