I have recieved a file from a customer that was made in pro-e. I need to be able to read it, in solidworks. Solidworks will read a Pro-e file but only if it is not "encrypted". Can anyone tell me steps for saving a file in pro-e format that is decrypted, so that I can relay this information to my customer?

I have PS-Exchange (it's free from delcam.com). It has a tol to decrypt Pro/E files. I've never tried it, though.

I tried that this morning before posting, and found that when I go to save the part, it wants to save it with the EXP extension, like it was trying to save it as a catia, file, so I shyed away. I'll go back and try finishing with that and let you know how I made out.
