Hellow . MY name is Simon . I am a new Abaqus user. I know to use better Femap.
I am trying a simple aplication In abaqus but I have some problems.
We define a simple 3d rigid body and i want to define a concetrated force on a node.
I dont know how can i do that because i have tryed a lot of posibilities. For example I crate a datum point, i make them reference point .In part module i create a geometric set with that point, and in loads we define a concetrated force using the geometric set .
The error is:Node set assembly_set-1 has no members and will be ignored. Nodes defined in this set may have been deleted because they were not connected to any elements.
How can I concect this point to be part of the 3d solid body? or it is another way to define nodal force?
Please answered if you know give me complet answer with steps. Thanks

eh?
doubleclick loads -> concentrated force -> select your node
Alternatively make a part or assembly set, and press (when selecting node for concentrated force) 'sets' button in right bottom corner.

This is a picture with set define

Aha. I create that. But i still have one error ...It`s imposible i have 3 hours of practice and we di nothing..Almost the same problem ...i don`t know why in geometry sets i can define node set , i have all the options but nodal set no

hello,
you should constraint this point with surface when you want applicate the force...
