I am relatively new to Solidworks...only since last Oct. I am drawing a tension spring. I have drawn the helix. And I have drawn the loop at one end of the spring. but the end of the loop and the end of the helix do not connect. I have trimmed the sweeps for each and I am using 'Boundry' to blend the two sweeps together, but I get an Rebuild error that states there is Self Intersecting Geometry. The blended sweeps preliminary looks good, but it will not accept it due to this error. Can anyone suggest how I can blend the two sweeps together? It almost appears as though I should fillet the sweeps, but I don't think that is possible.
