Defining diameter dimension PMI on sphere 1

Hi,

I've been trying to define a diameter dimension PMI on a sphere within NX 7.5 but it won't let me select the spherical face. I could define the diameter dimension on cylindrical faces but not on spherical ones. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you very much.

Dimensioning Spherical faces is not supported in either NX Drafting or PMI. Granted, in 2D drafting you can dimension the 'silhouette' curve so it gives you the impression that you're dimensioning the sphere, but in reality you're not.

May I suggest that you contact GTAC and have them open an IR/ER requesting that this enhancement be added to NX.
