hello everyone,
I have a question regarding if we can define the material properties of an orthotropic material of a composite on a ply level in its local co-ordinate system. Say I have E1,E2 in the local co-ordinate system of the ply, and I define a composite lay up in ANSYS of 10 layers.I have all the material properties I need with me but in the local co-ordinate system of the ply.I want to know if there is any way I can use these values into creating the material model or I need to calculate the averaged material properties of the laminate?
I would really prefer it if I do not have to calculate the averaged properties of the laminate.
