Hello,
I am working on a project in NYC where I need some deflection clips to tie down a platform post to an existing machine. The machine manufacturer informed us that we can only transfer wind load perpendicular to the machine and not lateral. So I was looking at one of the product named ClarkDietrich D-FCS3.5, 12 GA, 877 LBS Capacity. The issue is that I see from the cut-sheet dimensions that the length of the clip on one side is 3.25” (It is common for every other manufacturer). But the post can be as small as HSS2x2 and this clip will not work then. Please see attached snip from my CAD drawing. Can anyone please let me know if you know of any product which is a bit smaller but provide restraints and capacity as described above. Any help would be really appreciated.
