Hi
According to MBMA, the vertical deflection of a runway beam should be L/600, but if we have a cantilevered span, is it acceptable to use L/300 for that span?

I would think so - usually deflection criteria are really focused on the magnitude of bending curvature (and slope) - not the overall vertical magnitude - so using the concept that a cantilever is really just a half-span of a simple beam makes sense.

For crane runway, I wouldn't too much concerned with deflection, but I believe there is guideline on runway horizontal Vertical alignment, that is more critical from operational point of view. Suggest to check CMAA design criteria.

Here is a quick reference. Further reading maybe required. Link
