I am looking for the expressions that gives the deflection and stress at any radius r for a circular plate of diameter D (radius R), and thickness t, CLAMPED around its circumference, subjected to a centrally placed concentrated IMPACT load P.

Roark's indeed has this case, but you'll need to know the value of the impact load as this is the most variable parameter in your system.

You can get some help with the impact from Roark as well. See section 15.3 in ed 6 or 16.3 in ed 7 on "Impact and Sudden Loading".

Thanks, guys - metenger, kingneroand RPstress.

Kingnero, I know the the impact loads. I was doing a series of experiments. I have the impact loads and the central deflections. What I need is the formula that links the two - i.e. calculating the deflection given the load and the stress given the load. Could you assist if you have the book? I do not have it and it will take me a while to purchase (which I will) in my part of the world. Regards.

Thanks, bro. I have also been hunting for the book and got the 7th Edition in pdf from colleagues in England. We live in a small world don't we. Have a great day, afternoon or evening, whatever your time is. Mine is 8 p.m.
