1. How do you simulate the Max Defl Ratio provided on the member detail report from the Deflection diagram also located in the detail report?

2. Is there an easy way to sort through the members using deflection limits? I have been using the Detail button and clicking on each member to do this.

The Member Deflection Results spreadsheet is probably the best place to sort through multiple member's deflection results at the same time.

The L/y ratio RISA provides is based on RELATIVE deflection, not the absolute deflection. Therefore, a joist supported on each end by girders must first account for the girder deflection before reporting the deflection ratio. If each girder deflections 1", then the absolute deflection of 2.5" at the mid-span of the joist would really only be 1.5" of deflection relative to the end points of the joist. Does that make more sense now?

Yes it does, thanks.
