Hi,

Catia V5R20 P3 SP4

Is it possible to deform ellipsoid without spline.
I want to make center curve or guide curve (consists of ellipse arcs, arcs and lines) and to deform ellipsoid so axis of ellipsoid will follow guide curve.

I did it as you can see in 111.catpart but i used spline, is it possible to do it without making spline?

Thanks a lot

since there no reply I guess it is impossible.

thanks

I downloaded your part file but then couldn't open it because we're only on R19 - from your words alone, have you tried to use join on the segments (ellipse arcs, arcs and lines) & use the join as a center curve? If that fails due to curvature/tangency discontinuity, you could then use Curve Smooth on the join. Or, if your guide curve can be planar then you can sketch the guide curve making the whole process much simpler.

Without pictures or a V5R19 compatible file I can't offer more.

thanks, I'll try to save it in R19.

I use sketch to draw center line which is consist of ellipse arcs, circle arcs and lines, then i extrude that sketch and use it in wrap surface command, but it cannot be done.

thanks
