The reference I am following

of Freedom.pdf

So according to the reference we have two degrees of freedom

So if is specify the number of stages and feed locations are the systems fully defined?

So in my case, I have strict feed concertation A & B

Distillate purity is defined 0.99

Bottom purity is defined 0.99

So that means I have only two variables to play with No of stages and feed locations, I will get Reboiler duty and condenser duty out of the.

The partial condenser that I have will just add (one) stage to both no of equations available and the total no of variables.

Now for absorption column

Feed locations are fixed But I can change the solvent concentration and flow rates and no of stages. To calculate the column cost.

The purity of top product C 0.99 and bottom products D0.99 is fixed.

Hear I Also see two degree of freedom

Ami I correct??
