Hi all,

First post here, but browsed around the different forums and there's a lot of good info here.

In any case, I have an 80V forklift that needs a replacement battery. Got quotes from the local Deka and GNB dealers and there's a pretty significant difference in price between the two.

Does anyone here have any opinions on either brand?

Thanks in advance.
Rich

Both are very good batteries within their respective categories.. We use both brands for our commercial customers.

But, are you comparing prices on the same spec battery (besides AH?) i.e. design life, flame retardant or non rating, etc?

There is quite a range of offerings from both manufacturers.

Thanks for replying Dan!!

I looked at each manufacturer's web sites, and quite honestly, don't know enough about battery manufacturing/design to determine if 1 method/feature is better than the other. Obviously, each manufacturer's website touts that their design is superior.

Both dealers have seen the truck and the environment in which it is used. Their quotes both specify 500 A.H. batteries with 5 yr. warranties. So, again, I'm left wondering why the price difference.
