Post details of your mold and molding procedure. Phenolic resin releases moisture during cure, which strongly interacts with trapped air. Air tends to get trapped in the center as heat transfers into the part from the mold walls.

Bumping the mold open momentarily after the part has warmed-up but before it gels is often effective. How much resin bleed is occurring (determined by change in resin content during cure).
