Is there any harm in pouring an ICW 18' high in 3 separate pours because of inexperience and/or to get increased control? The below grade walls could be poured, waterproofed and the perimeter drain tile installed, fill sand spread and topsoil placed and packed to gain a much better footing for outside scaffolding, instead of working 18' off the basement floor.

What's an ICW?

If you have an 18' high wall you would probable want to pour it in stages anyway to control pressure in the formwork and to get better compaction.

There should be no problems if joints are detailed and prepared properly.

Can you tell me a bit about detailing and preparing for a succeeding pour?

.....an ICW is an insulated concrete wall as opposed to just the ICF as the foundation?
