hi,

i need to delete layers in my drawing.

i've only been able to delete the "named layers", not the layers itself.

where are the tools/options that going to help me delete completely those extra layers that i have

tks!

Layers cannot be deleted - they are always there (just like all the colors are always there). Instead, stuff can be reassigned to layer "none"

Just curious; what are you trying to achieve by deleting the layers?

thk for the quick response Jackk, really aprreciated.

trying to delete useless stock in the drawing i work on.

this dwg i've jsut been assign is a mess.... (353 layers)

by deleting all the "name layers", i managed to reduce a little bit the dwg size.

i saw a similar thread saying that it was impossible to delete them, was wondering if anyone else found something new since.

Have a good day!

The little bit of model size you reduced was probably the space it took for the layers names. I believe those names are just descriptions used to identify the layers.
