Delrin AF (15% PTFE filled delrin) is often used (tapped)to make nuts for precision metal leadscrews on small mills and lathes. Would it not be best to simply use pure (teflon)PTFE? What about UHMWPE? Its apparently has similar properties to teflon but less resistant to abrasion.
The goal is, the tightest fitting nut with the least friction/stiction. Delrin AF definitely beats brass for fit and wear but Im curiuos if teflon or UHMWPE are even more suitable.
