Hi everybody,

I could see some negative corrleation of CS2 getting reported in Naptha splitter overhead i.e. Light naptha , located in d/s of crude unit sat gas con naptha section with the delta T across Flash drum. The delta T across F.D. of crude unit is nothing but difference between F.D.bottom o/l temp. and sat. temp. of water at that pressure of F.D. I could see Carbon disulfide getting formed in crude furnace & in turn getting reported in N/S ovhd light naptha , How far it is technically and practically true ? Can you give your comments/view on this..

Thanks & Regards,

To add more in to it,

High RCO TAN Crudes & High Potential H2S crudes in the blend on that particular day is also significant factors have been founded for Carbon disulfide in naptha.

It can be directing that CO2+H2S -> CS2+H2O reaction may be happening in the furnace.

I am really wondering that the model that I developed is fitting well..i.e. Predicted vz. actual Carbon disulfide in N/S ovhd.

Regards,
