Dear Engineers

May you please assist me with the following ballpark values for a demin water plant for a 40MW methane gas-fired power generation plant:
1. size (water flow rate)?
2. cost of constructing the demin plant?

regards

Before anybody can even have a rough guess at this you would need to say how much water you need.
To determine what quantity of water you would need to know what process you are using for the power station and how you intend to use the water.
If its gas powered it could be a steam turbine in which case you will use the water for boiler feed and perhaps cooling tower makeup. However you probably would not require demin quality for cooling tower water.

However i assume its a gas turbine in which case you probably want the water for power augmentation by injection into the turbine intake. In this case the quantities are not massive but quality will need to be good.

So how much and at what quality do you need?
