Carbon steels have a density of 7.86 g/cm[sup]3[/sup] or 0.284 lb/in[sup]3[/sup]. ASTM A532 is a standard for cast iron, not steel. There are several different grades listed, but 7.7 g/cm[sup]3[/sup] is a good starting point.
