I am having some trouble with derived part configs. I created a few derived configs of a default part config. Then I want to make additional features that should only be applicable to certain of these derived configs. The problem is: after I create a feature in a derived config, I have to go back through all the other configs to suppress that feature in them. This could be time consuming and I might even miss some information if I have lots of configs and features. Is there a way so that if I create a feature in a derived config, it should AUTOMATICALLY show up as unsuppressed in all the other configs?

Thanks to all the readers

When you create config you have the option to check or uncheck "Suppress features" - You can do this by RMB a config go to properties to turn this on or off. If you have already created "X" amount of configs you will have to manually change those.

When I have to do configurations that complex - I set them up with a design table. It's just easier to "visualize" all the supressions & such. Take some time & find the info in the help menus. Try looking up SUPRESS in the INDEX tab. Maybe that'll get you started.

TateJ,

In SW05 when you use a DT to make your Configuratons (Only). There is a bug that toggles "Suppress Features" off, and if you don't catch that early then you will be SOL and have to manually fix it for each Config... Been there done that already this year.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll watch for that.
