Can you derive a sheet metal part? I have (2) formed "C" sheet metal components with bias cuts on the mating ends. I need to make the (2) into (1) part to enfold and cut on our waterjet.
Thanks

I have placed the files in the requested area. We use Inventor 10 if that would cause any issues? Thanks for your assistance. The area of issue is "deriving" the part. If you have any information on that subject it would be appreciated.

Start a new ipt from the Sheetmetal ipt template.
Exit Sketch.
Click the Derived Component tool.
Select your iam file.
Click OK.

Of course when combined this part will not unfold as the flange would have to stretch. And you did not dimension the 1.5 height.
