Design Code for Plastic Piping System for Industrial Applications : European

Hi All,

As you know, EN13480 code is only for Metallic Industrial Pipng and ISO 14692 is for GRP Piping system.

However, I want to know the "design code" for Plastic Piping system. Specifically PVC/CPVC Materials. There's a spécification ISO 15493, But I am not sure if it's a design code.

Has anyone come across any design code for Plastic piping system? Please guide me.

It's not European, but try ASME B31.3 Chapter VII or NM-1.

ASME B31.9 has plastic pipe requirements for building code applications.
ASME B31.1 also covers the use of plastic pipe in "Power Piping" applications.

Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI)

A web search indicates that BS EN 1993 - Eurocode 3. Design of steel structures
includes some coverage of plastic pipe, your millage will vary.
