What are the typical design criteria or requirements for the maximum vertical and lateral impact loads, such as those experienced during a pothole strike or lateral curb impact, that suspension components must endure without incurring damage?

Let's say this is for a typical road car based track build, something like a Miata, Mustang, Boxster, 911, etc.

Many successful circuit cars have been designed using 3 2 1, although I think 3 2 2 (Z X Y) is probably wiser. Those are very much the lower end of what a production car is designed to, although for the last 40 years dynamic loading is used, not static equivalents. for actual component design.
