Design of an equipment and then use designed data to simulate

Hi. I have a question. Would you please help me?
I have an equipment with unknown mechanical data, but known process data. Firstly, I want to design this equipment with known process data, and then use this designed data to predict other process condition (simulation). Is this ok????
