I have a 6" 900# specified for use by a customer at a design pressure that is around 20psi higher than is allowed by ASME B16.5. They are not able to select a different flange, so I've been asked to determine what thickness the flange would need to be to meet the design requirements. I started calculations per Appendix 2, but note that the flange ID (B) and hub dimensions (g_1, g_0) are required. This blind flange has neither an ID nor hub dimensions.

Is Appendix 2 not supposed to be used for blind flanges? Are there any other sections of this code that are more applicable to my situation?

Thanks David. I appreciate the quick response, although in this case, I was hoping that noone had responded yet since I remembered that section myself just now. I guess I'm just too accustomed to going straight for Appendix 2 for additional-thickness flange calculations that I overlooked the basics.
