Design of Cutting Boxes

I am designing some offshore steel welded boxes that get loaded with about 25 barrels of drilling mud & cuttings as the well is being drilled. The client would like it designed in accordance with API RP2A. I feel this code does not provide much design basis for this situation. Does anyone know of a better code (maybe ASME B30.20 or an OSHA guideline)to design around?
