design of cyclone

what does the first thing i should be concern for design a cyclone?
i use 'air pollution control theory ' by martin crawford but i need a simple design just to get pressure drop and colecting efficiency
i have already design it for capasity 65000 m3 but i'm not so sure because its my first time to design a cyclone and i have no experience
