Hello,

I have to do a cost estimation for N2 storage tanks and have long expirience in the calculation of pressure vessels. Unfortunately I don't have a clue of the design of N2 storage tank. Are there any internals or is it just a vessel like a Compressed Air Tank (I'm aware of the low temp. problems). What about double wall design with vacuum insulation. Does anybody can provide manufacturers ?

best regards

a 12 m3 nominal capacity (liquid N2) tank.

Jens,

At 12 m3 (about 3200 gallons) you can get a small commercially built vertical storage unit....

The VS300NC shoud do the job (Chart industies)...its 86" diameter and 228 inch height

With a cost of around US$15/gallon, I would ballpark such a tank (with pipework) at about $46K....

My opinion only

ooops... a typo

That should be the "VS 3000NC".....
