Design of non circular ( rectangular ) flat cover plate with large

Hello Guys,

Could you provide reference to design 4 1/8" wide x 45 7/8" x 1/2 thick flat cover with 4" x sch 80 nozzle welded at centre per ASME Section VIII Div.1

Comeback with some better dimesions as the pipe is large in diameter than your cover's width.

Nozzle is set on type with inside diameter 3.81 inch. Since this is a existing flat plate for header , therefore dimensions can not be changed. I am checking above plate for higher rating.

The OD of pipe is 4.5, which exceeds coverplate size. Are you sure of cover dimensions?

Total width of header is 6 1/8" ( 4 1/8" width of cover plate + 1" width of each end plate ). Cover plate is between the end plates and flushed outside. The Nozzle is set on type and part of weld will be on end plates also.
