Design of the flare lo drum

Hi all,

I have to design a new flare ko drum, but i don't know all the considerations that i have to take into account. The temperature conditions can change in few seconds form 20 to 300 Celsius degrees.

Do i need to calculate the life cyclic according asme VIIi div2¿

There is a lot more to it than ASME VIII Div 2 and 300 deg C;- you could start with API 520, API 521. Also, try talking to a process engineer and ask for directions.
