We are currently looking to get new structural design software. We have ENERCALC but have come across so many errors that would would like to get something more reliable. What do you use that you like?

For building design, I don't think there is anything better than RAM Structural System!
 
I have also been looking for someone selling spreadsheet or Mathcad workbooks for repetitive calcs--bought tiltwall spreadsheet from the reference above. It has a problem with part of the calcs and the spreadsheet is locked so you can't fix the problem. I would have thought that someone would be selling the stuff that they have developed for their own use but I haven't found it yet.
 
There is an engineer in Greenville, SC who has spent a lot of time doing spreadsheets for repetitive calculations. They are really slick. I use them almost daily. I emailed him concerning this and his reply was:

"My works are already on the internet at:

The one's on the SEA of SC website are not all up to date nor are all included. The ones on the AISC affiliated forum are up to date, but only include those related to structural steel."


You'll have to cut and paste the first link. Check them out. I believe you'll find several useful as well. Just give him credit where credit is due.
