Does anyone know of a function either in Solid Edge ST3, or avaliable as an add on that would allow me to keep track of time spent on a document.
I have not come across any yet, and an internet search did not prove useful.

Thanks in advance,

Nothing.

It has actually croppped up in conversations in the past, but the inherent problem to such a program is that most SE user have multiple files open at the same time. The clock would be ticking on each one of those thus accumulating too many hours. Very difficult to make a clock that task switches with every window change inside of an application.

Quicken (Quickbooks) has a clock feature that kind of works. You turn it on while starting on a specific job and turn it off when you are done. It has no relation to what you are actually working on.

Third party freelance websites like Elance has a system that you must run in order to bill to the job. It takes screen shots while you are billing hours to prove that you are actually working on that designated task and not just billing hours against your client.
