Design to ASME Div1.

Small 2 " ID cylinder is subjected to 6500 psi of Matl Aluminimum is being designed per ASME SEction VIII Div.1. ASME U-19(j) allow use of Div.1 above 3000psi with additional design principles and consturuction practice for higher pressure.

My question is what are these additional design requirements and what section of the ASME Div.1 defines that additional requirements.

The AI will require this to be designed to Div 2 and he/she is doing you afavor you can stamp it in Div 1,
most AI will not allow it but it is permitted by the Code.
