Hello Everyone,

I have a doubt regarding designating accuracies to parts.

Say an assembly contains some 15 parts,
1. Is there any way to check the accuracy of every part at the same time?
2. Is it possible to designate a base part's accuracy to the other parts in the assembly? If yes how to do that?

Thanks,

Regards,
Bala

The only way to view the tolerances of all parts in an assembly (that I know of) is to use pro/mechanica (Creo Simulate) if you have it (not just lite version) and view a tolerance report. This is also available with FEM mode in older versions of ProE. To set the same accuracy of all parts in an assembly then you must set an absolute tolerance rather than relative within each part and at the assembly. This is straight forward on a new assembly with new parts; however, can create regeneration issues with existing geometry. I have to use this for simulation of assemblies as the accuracy has a huge effect on meshing. It works rather well as long as the tolerance is established before creating geometry.

Hope that helps and good luck,
