Hi, I am doing a research using a SDOF system that contains Lead-rubber bearing and non linear viscous damper. I just notice that while running a non linear viscous damper with alfa = 1.5, it took me really long time for only 1 ground motions (with approximately 18000 steps). This kind of ground motions took me around 17 hours to run. While the same model with non-linear viscous damper with alfa = 0.5 only took me around 20 minutes. Is there anyone that experienced this kind of problem and can help me with a solution to have a shorter running time for my non-linear analysis? If you need any of the file for you to try it out, I could send you by personal message. Thank you
