I used to work at a company that had tons of AutoCad detail blocks.
Is there anyway to make some sort of blocks that I can "insert/import" into drafting titleblocks?
Thank you for and direction. NX-8.0.2.2

Hi Jason,
Do you mean a Manufacturing block drawing for a ship ?

I was thinking of making a set of standard details for manufacturing. Small drawings that don't change that I can "insert" onto the border drawing. It think that the Symbols may do it. Seems like I could have a book of details to flip through, type in a list of notes/details I need and have UG insert them onto a drawing.
That's sort of where I want to go with it.
Does anyone else have setups like this?

Thank you!
Such a great board for information.

Alternatively, you could create image files (JPEG or PNG) of these 'small Drawings' and then place them on your Drawing sheets using the...

...function.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

If these are small drawings that don't change, then of course inserting .jpg's or .png's is a good way to go. Include some shaded views if you have a solid model, for clarity.

[green]To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?[/green]
