Detail View Hides, but Not Detail Circle???

I've hidden a detail view for a feature on a drawing, because the feature isn't visible in this particular configuration being laid out in this specific drawing. I've tried everything, but can't seem to hide the detail view circle that draws attention to the location of the feature. I did find the Thread describing how to make a "blank" line type, and change the document settings for detail view label circles/borders, but it changes the line type for every detail circle on the drawing... I have Details A, B, & C and I only want "C" to be the one to not show up.

I don't want to delete the detail, because if the drawing is reused to create a different size of the same part I want to be able to "show" the view and dimensions associated with that view again if applicable. Anything I'm missing, or any suggestions?

NO you cannot hide the detail view, nor add it to Layer or change its color to fake hide the detail view... Looks like an Enhancement Request - ER.

Thanks Scott! One would think that if a selection was made to hide a detail view, that the detail circle would also hide. To me it makes no sense to leave it showing if the view it goes with has been hidden.

If you are printing the drawing, just drag the detail view off the sheet.

May try that, thanks.

You have to hide the parent view where you derived the detail view.
