detail views and breakout views 2

i want to put a breakout view in a detail view but i cant becaue the icon is grayed out when the detail view is selected. is this possible to do?

How about...create a Breakout View first and then a Detail View out of that. You'll have to use 'Apply Breakout To' to see it in the Detail view.

I heard some other people complaining about not being able to do this in V5. If I understood correctly, a detail view cannot be a parent to other views.

So I was wondering, how about making the breakout view from the same view the detail view is made from?
