When trying to create a detail view, I'm finding that the centerlines in the original view become solid lines in the detail view. I tried simply hiding them (nothing happens), and unless I hide them in the original view (not always a desired action) that sort of works ok unless I go back and manipulate the original view some more, then the centerlines appear and are solid lines in the detail view again. I've tried changing the linetype in the detail view, but again, nothing happens.

What am I missing? is there some glaringly obvious default I need to turn on or off or something?

Also, in some situations, I'd like to show the centerlines in the detail view but not in the original view, but even though I select SHOW, they highlight but then do not appear.

Here's a couple of screen caps of the original and then the detail view to better illustrate what I'm talking about. I'm running SW 2004 SP2 if that helps guide an answer.

The centerlines are in the sketches I used to create the part.
