Hi,

I'm attempting to determine the Maximum Material Evenlope of an assembly may help. Here's my situation:

I have an assembly with the parts in it. I am redesigning one of the components, but first need to determine my "allowable" space. I figure if I determine the Maximum Material Evenlope, them I could visually see my parameters & start designing from there. It would probably help to have some dimensional values as well, but at this time, I'm not to concerned.

What would be the best approach on me determing this within UG (We do not have the advance assembly liciense either).

Thanks

Jason,

I realize you may have an urgency in figuring this all out, but is it really necessary to ask the same question in 3 different threads?

One idea I have is to use Wrap Geometry. I believe this will literally shrink wrap your part but allow you to specify an offset.

Another idea is to use offset surface in Free Form Features. Maybe even offset faces in Feature Operation. Keep in mind that offset face will offset the face of the solid & unite it automatically. Rough offset may be one to look at as well.
