Hi,

I have been asked to find out what the dewpoint of nitrogen.
From google it says the following: "Bottled nitrogen is often specified as dryer than 2 ppm (parts per million) equivalent to a dewpoint of -94°F (-70°C).

However, someone once told me that the dewpoint will be affected when the gas has been in liquid form (LIN, as it has in my case) before it is in gas form.
Based on people I have talked with, the dewpoint of nitrogen gas that comes from liquid nitrogen is -60°C, not -70°C.

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Note; I am still not sure what the dewpoint actually is, so if anyone can help explain it on a basic level that would also be much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Arve

When we bought bulk liquid the guarantee was -60C.
Most days it was actually <-100C.
Getting high pressure bottled N2 better than -40 can be difficult.

Dew point is mea sure of moisture in Nitrogen. Pure nitrogen gas, which is produced from liquid nitrogen can scribd -70 deg C. 8f moisture level is around 100 ppm few point would be -40deg C
