Dear All,

If any body knows how to visualize a variable which is defined by the user in abaqus post processor using DFLUX subroutine ? Because DFLUX subroutine has no STATEV variable to define. Could you please let me know if anybody aware a method to do this ?

Thanks a lot

What kind of output variable do you want to visualize ? Note that FLUX(1) from DFLUX subroutine is not available for output. Most likely you will have to use another subroutine for this purpose - UVARM seems the most appropriate.

Hi FEA WAY,

Thanks for the reply. Actually I used UVARM as you mentioned. I need to show the variable calculated in DFLUX; called "SOC"in the abaqus output. After running the attached code and input file I obtained the following message.

***WARNING: OUTPUT VARIABLE UVARM HAS NO COMPONENTS IN THIS ANALYSIS FOR
ELEMENT TYPE DC3D8

Actually I used DC3D8 elements in this simulation. does that mean I cannot use that element for this purpose ?

I attached my fortran code here. I used common block to access the variable SOC calculated in DFLUX to Subroutine UVARM.

Could you please help me to spot this?
Thanks a lot

Hi Aravinda_UOM

I noticed your FORTRAN code calls in a common block where you have saved additional information. Do you think this idea would be plausible for a moving heat source if you saved the coordinates to a common block then called the file during your DFLUX?

Cheers
