How to measure the DFT of MIO coatings?

We know MIO is magnetic, and it may affect the reading of a magnetic DFT gauge. In this case, how we can measure the DFT (Non destrutive) ?

ASTM D6312

Fischer Technology seem fairly adamant that MIO doesn't affect their FMP magnetic instruments.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

But what does this ASTM D6312 for? Anything related to my query? Was it a typo?

Ah yes - I see the confusion. Typo: it's D6132[blush]. You can still look it up though[glasses]

Thank you for your interest and reply.

But, please check again. It is a magnetic probe for ferrous substrates !

Thanks

Cococa,

The Positector 6000 uses both magnetic AND eddy current sensors so that it can be use on all metals.
